Talking Therapy
Talking therapy provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your issues and concerns.
Our therapists can help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.
How can Talking Therapy help?
Talking Therapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore personal challenges and emotions. It helps individuals gain clarity, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. By working with a trained therapist, clients can address a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, and trauma. Counselling is a form of talking therapy, that provides support in improving self-awareness, managing difficult emotions, enhancing communication skills, and making positive life changes. Ultimately, it empowers individuals to move forward with greater confidence, balance, and emotional well-being.
A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems.
What happens during the sessions?
Counselling helps people with physical, emotional and mental health issues improve their sense of wellbeing, alleviate feelings of distress and resolve crises. Counsellor’s dedicated time is set aside to explore your difficulties, stressful situations, or emotional upset by helping you to see your situation and feelings from a different viewpoint and to facilitate change.
Counselling sessions last 50 mins and can be accessed in a number of ways:
- Face-to-face
- By telephone
- Using a digital video platform such as Teams
